This identification after 1826 is tenative and based on a different group of enslaved people working on the estate in 1826 worked by Louis de la Fitte in 1826 when other enslaved people on the estate were still in the possession of the executors of the previous owner. The almanacs show a straight switch from the heirs of Robert Aitken to Louis de la Fitte but the actual situation must have been mo
