Sedge Pond lay in the parishes of St. Andrew & St. Peter. By 1735 William Bryant of St Michael had bought for £2,800 113 acres in St Andrew - Sedge Pond estate, though there appear to have been no enslaved at this point. In 1739-40 by several Common Pleas levies by the Provost Marshall on lands of the plantation of Adam Standford, deceased, William Bryant acquired another 100 acres. c.1757: Willia

m Bryant, deceased, bequeathed all real estate to his grandson, Jonathan Worrell. By 1765 Sedge Pond was 235 acres and owned by Jonathan Worrell of England. In 1814, when Worrell died, he left shares to his son Jonathan, and 1/7 to his son Charles (who sold it to his brother Edward in 1841).
