Sponsor/Observer Note: Recorded upon affidavit of A.G. Wilson dated November 22, 1856 (Oscar Dunn(9) along with his mother Maria(35) and sister Jane(2) were purchased by James Dunn. James Dunn purchased the family from George Phillips Bowers for $800.00 payable in 5 months. (The original act of conveyence was destroyed in a fire of Notary Greenburg R. Stringer, a notation and summary can be
found in conveyence book #7, pg. 197) ( Oscar is emancipated along with his mother and sister Jane by James Dunn who is listed in the court records as the father of the two children.
