According to [CreoleLinks.com](http://creolelinks.com/barbados-plantation-history.html#stlucy), Benjamin Ifill bought this estate in 1817 but this needs further verification. The Ifill concerned must have been Benjamin Ifill senior (1777-1835). It is not clear from the 1832 Slave Register whether it was the father or son (1800-1869) who made the return. Note too that Creole Links gives the Parish
