Not yet definitively identified in the slave compensation process.The original purchaser of Courland Bay division (St David Parish) Lot no.1, which became Courland, was James Simpson on 20/05/1765.The present proprietors c. 1773 were J. Simpson and G. Francklyn. The owners in 1832 were 'Rep G & J Petrie', and the estate was still in cultivation in 1862. The present possessor c. 1867 was Daniel G.
