Note that in 1817, John Elliott Hewitt registered 11 enslaved people and in 1823 he registered 12. The purchases of enslaved people he made in the mid- to late-1820s may reflect the purchase of Fair Hall itself rather than simply an expansion in his enslaved workforce.Fair Hall appears in St Thomas in the list of proprietors on the 1825 edition of Barrallier's map of Barbados, but does not appear
