Tentative identification only. It may be that George McKerlie owned part of this land or perhaps none, as he was already a slave-owner before taking over the estate of Mary Penniston. The fact that no enslaved people were registered to the estate of Mary Penniston in the slave registers after 1826 suggests McKerlie took over the land.
