Note that this is different from the Hope estate which was the subject of the claim Barbados 3822. A plantation appears to have been established by 1674. By 1724-26 it was owned by Conrade Adams who owned 117 enslaved. The extent was 204 acres. By 1812 it was associated with James Maxwell (who died in 1812), was then acquired by John Simmons (1812-1815), by John Allen Olton (1815-1816) and then by
