This location references land on the Widow Porche estate in the 1790s. We assume Widow Porche, to be Madame Vincent Porche (1729-1802). The American State Papers entry for OB number 165, the plot adjoining this one (OB 166), makes a reference to Madame V. Porche as the owner of OB 166. Acccording to rootsweb.com Vincent Porche (1709-?) married Marie Francoise Poch (or Boch) who was the mother of
Vincent Porche (1761-1829), and several other children including Jean Francois (1756-1820), Simon (1758-1824), and Hippolyte (1769-?) whose names all appear on the historical plat maps.
