This is Kingston, born in Africa c. 1790 and in the possession of Thomas Bird as trustee to Charles Bird, 'free quadroon' in 1817 and 1820. By early 1821 he had been 'sold to Touzalin' (see Kirkpatrick estate, JA 6462) and then in May 1821 was sold again, to David Grant.
