It stretched over a mile to its source in the Port Maria and was made up of hundreds of masonry arches. The Robertson map of 1804 showed a cattle mill, windmill and watermill. James Hakewill documented Trinity in his in 1825. He noted the practical and ornamental value of the aqueduct which had been built at great expense / reference
