The estate was located 5 miles up the Rio Grande in the hills behind Port Antonio. Higman noted that the estate was similar to Williamfield in St. Thomas in the Vale. Cane land was limited to the flats along the Rio grande. The hills on the estate rose up to 1000 feet. The woods and hills had the provision grounds on it. There was a mill house, trash house, boiling house, curing house and distilli
ng house. The mill was water powered carrying water from the Back Rio grande. The cane fields were gridded.
