Samuel Hall Lord appears to have bought this estate (of 356 acres) in 1825 and added to it, making it 399 acres. By doing so he consolidated his estate ownership, some of which was also owned by his deceased brother's son, John, and others. His contiguous estates - Long Bay, Pool, Bowmanston and Ruby - formed a single block of estates. Samuel Lord was still the owner until his death in 1846. For n
otes on Lord and his ownership see notes on his association with BA677 Long Bay estate, St Philip, Barbados.
