Bayley's
According to Hughes-Queree, Bayley's plantation was put together between c.1719 and 1738. It was in the possession of Joseph Bayley in 1765. However, they also note that in 1803 Mary Wiltshire, widow, late of Barbados but by then of Cavendish Square, Middlesex, England, mortgaged to Thomas & John Daniel. Recited mortgage of 1797 for £9,000 and there was a further mortgage of £5,445. Both mortgages
secured on 'Bayleys' plantation. Bayley's estate was the site of Bussa's revolt in 1816.
