This location references land on the Widow Bourgeat estate in the 1790s. We assume Margarite Bourgeat (1749-1829), whose name appears on the historical plat map and in the American State Papers, was the widow Bourgeat, née Margarite Riché, wife of Joseph Bourgeat (1731-1788) and mother of Joseph and Martin Bourgeat and sister of Louis and Frederic Riché.
