Inferred association with 1817 and 1824 Slave Registers. A group of estates - Crumps Windward, Crumps Mountain and Crumps Stock - were conveyed to Andrew Newton of London in 1770 by Nathaniel and George Crump. It is possible that one or more of these estates formed the core of what became Comfort Hall. According to Vere Langford Oliver <em>History of Antigua</em> Vol. I p. 186, '"Crumps" in St Phi
lips Parish, of 514 acres, is now known as Comfort Hall.'
