Suttons Pasture Estate
A map of 1760, when the property belonged to Henry Dawkins, showed both a cattle and a wind mill however by 1804 James Robertson's map showed only a cattle mill. Higman questions the authenticity of the earlier map and has suggested that embellishments were made to it. Sutton's Pasture was surrounded by Perrins to the north, Chesterfield to the east and Amity Hall to the south. The estate had a ho
llow post mill - these mills were common in Holland and France and in the early Barbados.
