David Small and Christine Eickelmann's 'Clifton Estate, Nevis: an Account of Absence and Ambition' (2016/2017) is an exemplary estate history of Clifton, which by the 1880s had consolidated the original Clifton estate with Morton's Bay plantation and pond, Sheppards Land and the Lower plantation: see Small and Eickelmann, 'Clifton Estate, Nevis: An Account of Absence and Ambition' (2016 and 2017)
