Clare Valley was formed from Lots No. 103 and 104 (198 and 52 acres, purchased by Hendy and Gilbert respectively), and Lot No. 165 (124 acres, originally purchased by 'Poor Settlers') It is not known over what period these holdings were consolidated into a single estate.
