Statements
1. Original purchasers 19/05/1767 of what became Burleigh Castle under St Andrew nos. 6 & 7 (together with Spring Garden under St Andrew nos. 4 and 5) were J[ohn] Dumaresq and M[ichael] Croker; 'Present Possessor' c. 1866 of both was Edward Ellice. In 1832 the Owners of Spring Garden were 'Dev. of Balfour; the estate was 'Now worked with Burleigh Castle' in 1862. 2. By 1773 the Present Proprietors
were P.Maxwell and J. Balfour.
