This estate formed part of the marriage settlement of Martha Stevens Hodges and Robert Moulton. Both had presumably died by 1834 when it was owned by their daughter Mary Anne Moulton Thornton. It appears to have been held in trust rather than passed to Robert Moulton as owner.
